The Operations Coordinator will be a key player in managing the day-to-day operations of JJ Agro Growers, ensuring the efficient flow of goods from farmers to the production facility and onward to the customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
• Coordinate the logistics of agricultural products from farmers to the collection centre and production facility.
• Ensure smooth operations at the collection centre, production facility, and during product dispatch to customers.
• Supervise and assign tasks to operations staff.
• Monitor inventory levels, production schedules and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
2. Logistics Coordination:
• Plan and manage transportation of goods, optimizing routes and delivery schedules. • Ensure all logistical processes comply with company standards and relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistical activities, including transportation, storage,
and distribution.
3. Data Management:
• Oversee the accurate recording of sales, production and farmer information. • Ensure all operational data is up-to-date and accessible for reporting and analysis. • Collaborate with the IT department to maintain and improve the farmer management system.
4. Sales Support:
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to follow up on leads and generate sales.
• Support the execution of guerrilla marketing campaigns and other sales initiatives.
• Assist in building and maintaining relationships with company partners and customers.
• Track sales performance and provide regular updates to the Operations Manager.
5. Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Operations Manager and other departments to ensure alignment of operations with company goals.
• Provide regular updates and reports on operational performance and challenges. • Assist in training and development of the operations team.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to keep operations competitive and compliant.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in operations, logistics or supply chain management. • Experience in the agricultural or food production industry is an added advantage.

Terms of Employment:
The successful candidate will be placed on a Fixed Term Contract.
